I’ve always dreamed of travelling and to be free. My life it pretty organised now. Nothing to complain about. I have a job, a house and no real struggles at all. But it’s time for me to come out of my comfort zone and to wake up. Time to make my dream come true. Like the saying: a ship in the harbour is safe, but that is not what a ship is for. So i’m going to travel and do a lot of travel photography.
So now what? I’ve sold my house and resigned from my job. The plan is to leave in November 2019 to Myanmar. And after that? I don’t know. I have about 12 months, maybe more or less, to do whatever I like. But it’s also scary to leave everything I know behind. My family, my friends, the way my life was.
When I was younger, I went with my parents and brother to a lot of different countries in Europe during the summer holidays. Later, I went to Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. But there is a lot more to see, explore and photograph.
It’s only recently that I discovered photography as a hobby. I learned it by myself by watching YouTube video’s, Facebookcommunity’s and reading about it a lot. Of course, I had to practice a lot too. But the funny thing was, I discovered that my skills were improving fast. However, I still have a lot to learn. I use this once in a lifetime trip to improve my travel photography skills even more. I write about it in this blog but also about all the other adventures on the way.
The goal of this blog is to help other travellers and or photographers. And of course, this will also (hopefully) result in a nice archive for myself 😁.
